Promotion of human rights is one of the major priorities of the United Nations Country Team in Moldova. Starting with 2004, the UN Country Team in Moldova
has annually provided awards for the best promotion of human rights by non-government or ganizations and media. In 2012, a third category was included in the competition – public authoritie s. The awards are presented during the Human Rights Gala of Awards ceremony, which is organized annuall y on December 10, Human Rights Day.

Promovarea drepturilor omului este una dintre priorităţile majore ale Echipei de Ţară a Naţiunilor Unite în Republica Moldova. Începând cu 2004, Echipa de Țară a ONU a organizat în fiecare an un concurs pentru cea mai bună promovare a drepturilor omului. Premiile sunt decernate în cadrul Galei Premiilor pentru Drepturile Omului, organizată anual la 10 decembrie, de Ziua Drepturilor Omului.

The It Gets Better Project (IGB) was founded in October 2010 by Dan Savage and Terry Miller with a YouTube video that ignited a global movement. The video’s message was simple: life does get better for LGBT youth. Three years later, IGB has launched a new video campaign in response to Russia’s discriminatory anti-LGBT laws. Led by Ted Farley, IGB’s first executive director, the Russia-focused initiative will bring messages of hope and support, in both Russian and English, to many of the estimated 2.5 million LGBT youth in Russia.

Astăzi, 5 decembrie, proiectul „Totul se va schimba spre bine” din Statele Unite ale Americii a lansat o campanie video nouă ca răspuns la adoptarea legislaţiei discriminatorii faţă de lesbienele, gay-ii, bisexualii şi transgenderii din Rusia.

Сегодня, 5 декабря, американский проект «Всё изменится к лучшему» запустил новую видеокампанию в ответ на принятие дискриминационных законов, направленных против лесбиянок, геев, бисексуалов и трансгендеров в России.

20 ноября ежегодно отмечается День памяти трансгендеров. Цель этого дня состоит в привлечении внимания общественности к проблеме насилия в отношении трансгендерных людей.
